International tourism has brought enormous benefit to many places. At the same time, there is concern about its impact on local inhabitants and the environment. Do the disadvantages of international tourism outweigh the advantages?

The
tourism
industry, nowadays, has been popular worldwide.
However
,
this
popularity comes with both advantages and disadvantages.
Although
there are various drawbacks on local people as well as on the environment, the benefit of
tourism
is a net positive. Environment, on the negative side, has impacted adversely due to tourists.
For example
, beaches or mountains, are more polluted compare to past , as traveller throw their litter anywhere, which have deleterious effects on animals
also
. Apart from
this
, more travellers lead to more construction on local lands,
such
as hotels, restaurants and clubs, and it will snatch local citizen's place for living. Not only
this
but, the place
also
becomes crowded and noisy. On the other side, there are enormous benefits of
tourism
that individual should take into account.
Firstly
,
tourism
-related activities and international travellers are responsible for the economic growth of a particular host country.
For instance
, countries,
such
as Indonesia, Australia, and the Netherlands, are highly dependent on
tourism
, with 50% of their annual revenue generated from visitors.
Secondly
,
tourism
is a platform in which local people can promote their local art and handmade products which may become the source of their employment.
Moreover
, it
also
helps to establish social status among other nations.
In addition
to that, employment is another factor that one needs to consider
first
. Development of any place comes with the new job opportunities as well as the development of their citizens in terms of language, culture and diversity. Australia,
for example
, now promoting its remote areas for the development purpose of that specific area. In recapitulation, there are both sides available for
tourism
.
However
, the advantages
such
as employment opportunities, economic growth , national fame are outweighed their disadvantages. Government can take some steps to mitigate the environmental problems.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
