Toronto
, Canada.
My name is Karampal Kaur, and I am planning to relocate to Toronto
with my husband and two children. Recently, I got a promotion to senior executive technicians’ position in Toronto
city, so that is
why we want to get a new house in Toronto
instead
of my home country, India. We are hoping to emigrate at the end of this
month.
We are interested in a small house with all the required amenities. Given the size of our family, we would be interested in a property with three bedrooms, two washrooms, and one living room. As we are also
bringing our dog with us, we are hoping to have a little garden in front of our house.
We would prefer a serene environment in a suburban area with easy commuting to a nearby city. Most importantly, the walking distance should be there for my children so that they will not have any need to walk long to school.
I hope you will be able to help us in relocating, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Karampal KaurSubmitted by karampalvirk21 on

The Greeting
Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.
Always start an informal letter in the ways:
- Dear + name
- Hi / Hello + name
‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.
For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:
- Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
- Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
