Many students choose to take a gap year before starting university, to travel or gain work experience.

Nowadays, there are a large number of opportunities to gain
work
experience. You can take a part-time job during your school education. You
also
may help your parents with their
work
during your summer holidays. But as for me, a
gap
year
before starting university is the best way to understand what you want to do in your future
life
. Of course, there are plenty of opinions.
First
of all, if you take a
gap
year
, you can try to
work
in different places. It really can help you understand it is the right place where you want to
work
for the rest of your
life
. Or it can help you to decide which university or course you want to get in.
Moreover
, you may meet a large number of people who may help you in your future projects or works.
On the other hand
, taking a
gap
year
is not for Russian teens. Unfortunately, our parents and grandparents have opposing views than we have. They could not understand why you spend your time like that. They may think that you lost your mind. As for me, I think that taking a
gap
year
before starting university is the greatest thing ever. I regret that I have no opportunity to understand myself and what I want to do in my future
life
. In my opinion, all students must have
this
gap
year
to take breathe, relax, gain strength and go into adult
life
consciously.
