These floor plans below depict a Central library from 20 years ago and most recently. There were notable changes to the library, with each space being utilized differently than before. To be specific, in the past, there were two big tables and several chairs in the middle of the library and adult's books areas on either side, including fiction and non-fiction books.
However
, at present, both tables and chairs disappeared, and the fiction books space was moved to the opposite with an information desk and three self-service machines.
In addition
, the enquiry desk, which was for tickets, book returns, etc, was removed to become a cafe shop now. The current lecture room used to be a children's book, which was expanded and set to the top-left side of the corner with two sofas and a new storytelling space.
Furthermore
, the reading room on the left-hand side of the entrance has been converted into a computer room.
As a result
, newspapers and magazines can now be found in some other areas.
