Overall, the UK was the highest in terms of CO2 emissions, whilst Portugal was the lowest during the same period. According to the figure, United Kingdom and Sweden were the two nations with the most of the C02 production in 1967.However, in a 40-year time span, it has decreased for alike. Concerning the former, Co2 emissions was slightly in decline till 1977 before a gradual decline till 2007. The latter observed a significant climb passing from around 8.5 to just over 10 in 1977. From this date, CO2 emissions have declined drastically till 2007 moving to less than 6 metric tons. On the other hand, pollution jumped in Italy and Portugal. In this essay, my point of view will be demostrated before reaching a conclusion.
To begin with, people of present era have a hectic work schedule which can be compensated by getting their work done by using these cutting edge technological gadgets. This will save us from doing such labourious household chores. These equipments are easy to use and operate with less consumption of electricity. For instance, Television keeps us updated by providing plenty of information around the globe, air conditioner keeps our space clean and cool, washing machine is used to clean dirty clothes and save our hands from hazardous effect of chemical used in soap and laundry detergent.Therefore, it can be claimed that modern technolgy save us healthily and comfortably.
In addition to this, Time spent in preparation of food, washing or ironing of clothes, is far less these days than it used to be in the past, and thanks to new technologies. A prime example is that just hundred years ago, it was unimaginable that you could keep your meats and other food items for months, to prepare some meals in just a couple of minutes or to wash a large number of clothes in just 30 minutes. That is the biggest advantage of these consumer goods, modern people spend far less time in doing household chores than they used to. Hence,it can be said that people can save time as it is the most valuable aspect in the modern society.
In conclusion , after I have explained my perspective, it can be reiterated that modern appliances are invented to make people’s life easier and they are successful in that. However, we have to use them wisely in order no to be influenced by their negative sides.That's why it is recommended that we should not count on them on almost daily basis.

The map illustrates the main developments in the town of Springer from 1970 until the present time. Overall, a multitude of arrangements and amenities changed the city's landscape in the aforementioned fifty-year period. In 1970 the pueblo consisted of a wide forest landscape with a large farmland and only a few constructions, especially 2 houses and one shop. However, Springer Town did dramatically change throughout the decades. Indeed, we notice that diverse facilities were developed at the expense of the wide forest. A school has been erected in the center of the town with lots of shops all around. At the top right-hand corner, an airport has been constructed, near a small portion of forest and some flats at the top of the shops. In addition, the huge farmland has been restricted to a small area in order to allow room for some apartment buildings and a house. There has also been a surge in the number of streets and avenues between buildings than the 1970 model. Even though, we can still notice some green spaces kept from the previous forest, especially a band of Greenland alongside- the west town. To conclude, the town of Springer changed drastically from 1970 to nowadays, moving from a rural to an urban area.
