From this date, CO2 emissions have declined drastically till 2007 moving to less than 6 metric tons. On the other hand, pollution jumped in Italy and Portugal. A rocketed surge in CO2 emissions can be noticed from 1967 to 1977 for Italy before a gradual growth. The Portugal’s CO2 emissions moved upward abruptly till 1997 before a steady grow until 2007. To conclude, despite the awareness of environment issues, UK is still the most CO2 producer in 2007, amid the four-country analyzed. Portugal is still the less polluter state though.

Taking a “gap year” off between high school and university has become a popular option among many young people. This time off provides a break after many years of formal study. Some students use this time to travel around the world, others volunteer and still others begin working. The idea behind each of these activities is to do something hands-on and refreshing, which enables young people to learn more about themselves and their place in the world around them. The benefits of taking a year off are plentiful. On a personal level, students who travel away from home develop their independence and self-confidence. The first station is far from the industrial environment and consist on picking the olives from their trees. The pie chart illustrates the principle reasons behind the worldwide land degradation, whilst the table chart represents the main causes which led to the aforementioned issue by region in the 1990s. Overall, over-grazing was the main cause of agricultural land degradation, while European region was the one mostly affected by this issue. Looking in closer detail at the pie chart, it can be clearly seen that over grazing is the leading factor of land degradation trough the world with a frequency of 35%. It comes after the deforestation issue which represents 30% and the over cultivation with 28%. However, a minority of other reasons are still responsible in this environmental disease. Moreover, the table chart highlights the fact that Europe is the most devasted land comparing to Oceania and north America with worth 23% . The main cause is deforestation representing a portion of 9.8% . Oceania follows the word wide trend with over grazing as a first cause of land degradation. Finally, north America is clearly the less polluted country with 5% of land destructed.
