The bar chart given illustrates a comparison of four different types of transportation which residents in a European city used to commute to work in three different years from 1960 to 2000. From an overall perspective, it is evident that the percentage of car commuters showed an upward trend, whereas a reverse pattern could be observed in the data on/ figure for bike or on foot over the surveyed period.
