Few people are of opinion that it is the responsibility of the schools to hone the skills of children. I disagree with the notion that the educational institutions should be responsible for developing the children into good parents in the future. This essay will discuss the reasons for this and the requirements to be a skilled parent. It is of paramount importance that the centre of learning should give priority in teaching the academic subjects rather than the parental role .Even though the children are made aware of their future role as parents and how to play that effectively, it would in no way help in fetching a job, a successful career or attaining financial stability in life which are the most important benefits to be reaped out of education. Another reason is perhaps, it would not be an effective method since the teenagers might not have the maturity to understand the responsibilities of a parent. This is because, they have to connect the happenings in their family to the subjects taught in the school, which is again too much strain for a child. In this way, it can be argued that teaching the role of parents in schools would not be pragmatically fruitful unless it is intuitively assimilated from their parents and family members. In regard to the competence of a mother or a father, there are several things to be considered; first and foremost is the abundance of love and care, secondly strict rules to discipline their life, thirdly responsibility, fourthly doing things that the children would find inspirational and lastly to be able to educate them. What’s more is expertness in handling finance so that the children can have a better healthcare, food, education and relaxed life. To conclude, the academic subjects should be concentrated and taught in schools, as it had been until now since it is the most integral part education. This is not only because of the mindset of juveniles but also to extirpate such classes and let them learn from their own parents during the course of life.

The contentious argument that whether organizations can solicit personal information from job seekers in an employment application has sparked a heated debate among many. In this essay, I will illustrate the merits and demerits of such practice by employers and then provide my own opinion. On the one hand, there are benefits to organizations in acquiring information about a prospective employee, including his hobbies, marital status, et cetera. The primary advantage is that the multinational corporations can gauge whether an applicant is a best-fit or not for a vacancy by asking for his or her personal data. For instance, a position that requires travelling frequently to various metropolitan cities in the world will not be a good-fit for married people because of their marital commitment. In addition, an organization can increase its employee retention rate by enquiring about a potential hire’s hobbies and interests. For example, a financial analyst who is fond of latest gadgets would be excited to work for a high tech corporation rather than another applicant who despises an advanced device. On the other hand, there are some cons in employers seeking personal information from job applicants. First of all, an organization may inadvertently drive away the best qualified candidate who has privacy concerns by asking for one’s hobbies, interests, marital status, et cetera. Moreover, some employers may resort to discriminatory practices by selecting potential hires based on their personal preferences. For instance, an interviewer who despises a game of cricket may overlook an applicant whose passion is to play with a bat and ball. Having considered a range of arguments, I firmly believe that the merits of an organization seeking personal information from job candidates outweigh the drawbacks; employers can match applicants to the vacancies and increase employee retention rates.

In many countries, especially tourism-driven ones, there has been a long-lasting controversy over the matter of whether cultural traditions such as historical sites should be commercialized and used as tourist attractions. While I agree with the idea that to some extent, tourism exerts a negative influence on the culture of a country, I would argue that only through this business sector can such valuable assets be preserved for posperity. On the one hand, opponents of cultural tourism claim that it would have destructive effects on the host country’s culture. Essentially, both tangible cultural traditions such as royal palaces and intangible ones like traditional music were established and uphold by a restricted group of indigenous people who show deep appreciation for their own assets. Conversely, exposuring such cultural items to the wider public inevitably means that they are more prone deviations and damages. For instance, craftmen, with a view to catering for tourists’ preferences, might create artifacts whose traits differ from the conventional products’. The pressing issues of vandalism and desecration of historic buildings commited by travellers is another example sufficing to illustrate this point. On the other hand, those who support cultural-based tourism maintain that this is the only means with which the preservation of traditions could be achieved. Any cultural value would require the public’s recognition and physical upkeep in order to last. Through introducing foreign visitors to the tangible and intangible cultural values of the native, not only can those values be appreciated by a wider group of people, but they would also receive better maintenance thanks to the tax revenues generated from the tourism sector. Japan and South Korea are two high-profile examples of countries that have effectively values incorporated their traditional in tourism, attracting a large number of visitors from overseas by means of their culture, while widely promoting their traditional assets to foreigners. To sum up, while tourist-generated degradation of traditional values is an unwanted consequence of culture-based tourism, this business plays a pivotal role in the preservation of such values.
