The pie chart illustrates the principal reasons behind the worldwide land degradation, whilst the table chart represents the main causes which led to the aforementioned issue by region in the 1990s. Overall, over-grazing was the main cause of agricultural land degradation, while European region was the one, mostly affected by this issue.
