The pie chart illustrates the principle reasons behind the worldwide land degradation, whilst the table chart represents the main causes which led to the aforementioned issue by region in the 1990s. The main cause is deforestation representing a portion of 9.8% . Oceania follows the word wide trend with over grazing as a first cause of land degradation. Finally, north America is clearly the less polluted country with 5% of land destructed.
