While some people argue that students can study subjects of their choice, other think that universities should only offer certain key subject areas. I personally believe that everyone should be able to choose their areas of study. There are various reasons why people believe that students should be forced to study subjects that will be useful in the future. They might assert that the subjects like science and technology are more beneficial than certain art degrees for the current technology-based development of the world. For example, the healthcare sectors always need scientific research to figure new methods and medicine to cure diseases and help people live more healthily. Additionally, due to that development, there will be more job opportunities in the science and technology sectors. Thus, it is more likely for those who take these courses to get a job in the future. However, from personal perspectives, students should have freedom to pick the majors of their choice. It is because everyone has their own dream careers and they should choose the course that benefits their future profession. For example, a family with a small size can afford to send their offspring to a high-profiled school in terms of academic achievement and also cater for the needs of their progeny. On the other hand, a major challenge is that children from small family often times findd it difficult to deal with interpersonal issues as they may be timid and they may have to deal with issues ranging from laziness to other despicable acts. For example, a child from a small family may find domestic chores difficult due to the fact that everything is being done for them. In addition to the above, is the fact that they tend to find it difficult to speak publicly and dealing with people becomes an issue. Conclusively, while small family size has its major benefits of economicc and finaancial independence, it should also be noted that there is no gain without pain as there also lies its drawbacks such as laziness, timidity, interpersonal issues and other challenges associated with it should be noted.
