The most evident reason would be vicious competition in today’s world. Children who want to study at a famous university have to achieve better scores than their peers. Admittedly, there are some advantages for those children who study at home. However, judging from a general development in the long run, there are many disadvantages for home-schooled students. They can barely obtain widely knowledge as their peers.
