You have recently missed a project deadline which resulted in your company losing an important client. Write a letter to your manager. In your letter • apologies for what happened • explain why you missed the deadline • tell him/her how you will avoid this situation in future.
Dear Sir,
I am writing
this
letter to regret my apology that happened the last
week. I know that one of our valuable client orders has been cancelled because of not meeting their deadlines within a given time. I really felt worried and let me give you a chance to explain my hectic situation. I have working sincerely on that task and am almost at the final level to it complete. Due to my father's ,condolence I am not able to work further
in a short time and I was not able to finish it in the end within the stipulated time. I know the financial loss because of this
project cancellation. I will work on the next
project with my full effort and makes our company proud and also
with a good financial margin to match this
cost.
Thanks for your consideration and hope will get a good opportunity to express my effort on the next
project.
Yours sincerely

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
