Some people think it is necessary to test medicine intended for humans, on animals first. However, others feel that this should not be the way. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Today there are so many debates around animal testing. Some
people
consider that new medicines and vaccines should go over the test on
animals
before the
people
usage,
while
other groups of individuals think that
this
practice is cruel in the case of nature. In

I will argue, that animal testing is not an optimal way to solve
this
problem. On the one hand, checking the side effects of new medicines is essential.
In other words
, the medicine that theoretically treats a particular issue can cause new illnesses and harm a person`s health.
For instance
, if there is an allergen component in the medicament, treatment could lead to serious problems with health, down to death. In
this
case,
animals
are the most suitable organisms, because they have partly similar organs and physical processes, compared to the human body.
On the other hand
, animal testing is an immoral practice that has a harmful effect on our environment.
To begin
with, animal testing is not appropriate to the moral norms and is too cruel, even
animals
often die in the testing labs.
In addition
,
animals
are the base of the fauna and food chain and their destruction will lead to environmental issues,
such
as climate change and honouring of some species. Today a lot of
people
refuse products, that are animal tested and I am glad for
this
tendency.
To sum up
, even though there are
people
who believe in the effectiveness of animal testing in development of the medicine, I will argue, that
people
do not have the right to decide the lives of
animals
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
