You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

People especially young generations have started consuming junk items on a daily basis due to their easy availability and affordability. While doctors are claiming it to be dangerous, many others are supporting the trend. In my opinion, however, these foods can satisfy for a short duration but can prove to be very harmful in the long run.
