Some people think that public libraries are no longer important, while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Although
It is often believed by some that public libraries are of no importance in today's world, other people do not agree with
this
assertion. I,
however
, think that these libraries are indeed no longer vital. On the one hand, there has been a decline in the number of visits to the
library
because of the advancing role of
technology
in making data research more accessible and easy.
In other words
,
as a result
of technological evolution, people can now use the internet to source for
information
without any hassle.
Also
with the use of
this
web, one can have access to a vast number of educational websites at the touch of a button, unlike the
library
where one has to walk around going through stacks of books which might be obsolete.
For example
, a student can now get in-depth knowledge about any subject from websites
such
as Yahoo, Wikipedia and Drugs.

without stress. I believe
this
school of thought is right because
information
gotten from libraries might be out of date and can affect a learner's performance.
On the other hand
, it is thought that public libraries are still vital because it is unaffected by limitation of
technology
, and
also
because books in the
library
contain original contents.
Firstly
, books in the state
library
are not affected by situations like poor internet access or power outage, which might be the case when computers are used in place of traditional libraries.
Furthermore
, in order to prevent getting adulterated
information
, it is important that these places remain open.
This
is because some
information
sourced from the internet might be incorrect or even false. To conclude,
although
general libraries contain books in their original content and are not affected by limitations in
technology
, I believe that these libraries are no longer as vital as they used to because the advent of
technology
has made accessibility to
information
easier and much faster.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
