It is observed that communication between family members in today's time is less as compared to the past. However, some people do not think so. Do you agree or disagree?
Many believe that connection among family members is significantly reduced over time. Contrary to
this
popular opinion, I believe the families can communicate more effectively nowadays because faster and enhanced electronic means of contact have replaced the conventional means. However
, I do think face-to-face meetings between family members, in particular
, are considerably reduced relative to the past.
Back in the past, not only a limited amount of transmission grounds were available, but most of them were also
slow. If you and your family had to live in different cities, the only communication method was to either write a letter or at best, with the invention of phones, call. These days, we have more means to connect with family members than we ever had. This
relates to whether you are travelling to a different city or an entirely different country, you can still reach out to your family through the use of various electronic methods, such
as emails, social media sites, and mobile apps. For example
, my parents are living in Pakistan and anytime I like to connect with them, I can either do audio or video call with no disruption whatsoever. This certainly
, would not be possible if I were to be living in the 19th century.
Having said that, does Accept comma addition
This, certainly
this
mean face-to-face meetings are also
increased? Definitely not. The flipped side of introducing these methods is that family members do not feel as much need to visit each other since they can utilize these technological means to communicate. Whereas, in the past, due to having fewer means of communication, families used to utilize every opportunity to visit each other. For instance
, since I can link myself with parent over the phone, I felt less of a need to travel back home any meet my parents in the last
few years.
In conclusion, whereas this
enhancement in communication methods has increased connection between families, face to face setups are significantly reduced in relation to the past though. In general, I certainly disagree with the opinion that linking among family relatives has reduced.Submitted by Hamza Fayyaz on
