In the future, people may have to live on other planets. Some think that it is therefore important to spend money researching other planets such as Mars. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It's becoming increasingly possible that people will need to occupy other planets. Though some suggest to make more investment on researches other planets, I strongly believe that we need to spend more time and resources on our
planet
.
Advocates of increased funding for exploration of other planets, think that natural resources are decreasing more and more and that’s why we need to invest more on the projects of exploration other planets. It's becoming more inevitable that other planets might become a better place to live for people. This
conclusion is underpinned by the studies of potential outcome of climate change and pollution. For instance
, some big cities have enormous challenges in terms of air pollution and water. Polluted air, a shortage of greeneries has a great impact on peoples’ health and animals, for example
respiratory diseases. If these problems continue to become worse and worse then
we need to have a back up plan which involves exploration of other planets and making the environment there more livable for our humankind and animals.
However
, the best safeguard against doomsday scenarios laid out about is to save and salvage the planet
we currently live. It would require an imminence amount of time, money and resources to research other planets such
as Mars. Instead
of directing these resources towards ambitious plans to terraform
an alien planets
, the easier option is to invest more in protecting our current Suggestion
planet
planet
. Governments should enact stricter regulations on individuals and companies to cut down carbon emissions, while also
funding green initiatives. By collectively signing the international records, policymakers could strike a balance between economic development and environmental conservation. These solutions are both more realistic and can be done immediately and have more chances of actual access.
In conclusion, investment in terraforming and colonizing other plants is a very ambitious and challenging decision and it should not be a first
priority, when there are better and easier solutions. It’s better to do our best to save the planet
and be more careful about the harm we make together with economic development.Submitted by Ekaterina on
