Reducing global environmental damage should be handled by governments rather than individuals. To what extent do you agree or disagree
It is believed that only politicians have the power to solve environmental problems that are posing serious threats to today's world. However, I believe that protecting the environment is the obligation of both governments and individuals. Should authorities and everyone work together by doing specific actions such as introducing laws , imposing " green taxes " or be greener ourselves , such risks will be dismissed Firstly, it is noted that governments have much influence on their people and can use this to reduce damage caused by pollution. For instance, they could implement regulations to limit emissions from factories, invest in renewable energy, promote recycling and levies on driver and airline companies, etc. As a result, their environment improved and following that, the lives of many individuals. These solutions will not only directly intervene with pollution problems but also make it as examples so every person will be effected to become more "green" and careful with the environment. This makes it clear that governments can make use of their authority to create useful changes which people may learn and also be greener themselves. Secondly, every single person could play a significant role towards safety our environment by not using enormous amount of plastic and pollutants in daily life, which is a hazardous pollutant of the soil. In other words, almost every consumer use plastics while doing shopping, and there is always use and throw culture. Instead of using this, everyone's efforts could be taken into account opting for eco friendly substitutes. For example, people can use paper and cloth bags instead of plastic in supermarkets. So, use of plastics on the environment is devastating, and must find alternatives to plastic from the individual perceptive. In conclusion, it seems to me that environmental problem is the worrying concern and individuals have a crucial role in joining hands with the government in reducing the harm caused to the environment. Lack of individual participation could mean that addressing environmental issue is beyond reach.
