People trend to travel longer distance nowadays than in the past. What are reason for this? Is this a positive or negative trend?
One of the most conspicuous trends of today's world is a colossal upsurge in the
number
of academics believing that nowadays, there is a trend among society to travel long distance
as compared to the earlier times. With the advancement of technology, there are a number
of transport sources available for travelling. Although
, travelling remotely has a great impact on society and it has both pros and cons.
There are a number
of arguments in favour of my stances. The most preponderant one is that by commuting from one place to another, people can be connected with their near and dear ones. In the past time, there were not enough facilities to go and met with relatives and friends. These days, numerous vehicles are available for the journey. Another reason is some people go abroad for further
studies or for settling down. For instance
, by travelling to foreign countries, they are able to attain more knowledge about their languages and cultures. Therefore
, individuals can broaden their horizons.
There are, however
, some pitfalls that can easily overwhelm the potential benefits of travelling a longer distance
. The primary one stems from the fact that by observing the aforementioned trend, people have not realized its gravity, but also
gauged the magnitude of its repercussions when it comes to today's ever-changing lifestyle. Besides
, its impact on the environment by causing pollution with an increasing number
of vehicles is far-reaching indeed. For example
, vehicle causes air pollution with which community is greatly impacted by the harmful gases. Thus
, most of the people may fall sick. Hence
, it is apparent why many are against travelling a long distance
.
To conclude, without any doubt, this
is a mixed bag. If travel longer distance
has many positives then
the negative points of this
notion may not be underestimated.Submitted by Navpreet Kaur on
