Some people believe that all children should learn a foreign language from the time they start school, while others believe it is better to wait until a child is at secondary school. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion

Over the
last
few years, learning foreign languages has become increasingly common.
While
some
people
think that all pupils have
to begin
learning a foreign
language
as soon as they start
school
, others believe that it should be postponed to secondary

I support the earlier view. On the one hand,
people
who think that a foreign
language
should be learnt at primary
school
might argue that
this
has two main advantages. The most important one is that it will be more opportune. Since pupils have the ability to learn new subjects very well at an early age, it would be more effective to start learning a second
language
at primary
school
.
Furthermore
,
this
will help children to gain higher levels of proficiency in it.
For example
, in Algeria, all pupils have to learn both Arabic and French from 6 years old,
therefore
, all Algerians can communicate in French just like a native speaker.
On the other hand
, some
people
still argue that learning a foreign
language
at high
school
is more advantageous.
This
is because if a child learns two languages at the same time, it will be difficult for him to master both of them.
Consequently
,
this
may negatively affect his mother tongue. Seldom does
this
occur if he focuses only on one
language

In addition
, during high

, students can easily decide which

their future plans.
For instance
, if a student is planning to continue his university education in Italy, he will choose to study Italian as his second

task response
Ensure that each paragraph directly relates to the main topic and thesis statement. You can strengthen your argument by providing more counterarguments and evaluating them.
coherence and cohesion
The introduction and conclusion are present and relevant, but could be more impactful. Consider expanding the introduction to provide more context and engaging the reader from the start. The conclusion could summarize your main points more explicitly.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
