It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extend do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should teachers and parents use to teach good behavior to children?

It is considered that punishments need to be applied to make youngsters learn between good and bad. I strongly agree with
this
and will write on the kind of punishment to be allowed in
this
essay. On one hand, I strongly agree that kids should be faced with consequences on the quest to teaching them rights and wrongs because it sends a deep message to them.
That is
to say, simply explaining and giving pieces of advice to children is not enough as they most times take them for granted but when they are punished for their actions, it gives them a better directive and makes them change their ways.
For example
, a mathematics teacher in a secondary school confirmed that punishing students for failure to do homework made them punctual at doing it because of fear of consequences.
Therefore
, youngsters should be reprimanded in other for them to learn between good or bad.
On the other hand
, parents and teachers in schools should engage in non-violent sanctions in trying to shape children's character.
That is
, discipline that kids are scared of having will pass a piece of clearer information
such
as; taking their break time in school, restricting from televisions and phones, will make them learn more.
For instance
, a child who was not taken along for a regular family hangout
as a result
of their wrong deed will definitely not repeat the act again. So, punishing kids with things they are afraid to lose is the best rather than any physical action. In conclusion, punishing a child t make them learn is good as it sends a clearer message,
nevertheless
, a non-violent kind of teaching should be employed in doing so.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
