In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers and books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

I don't completely agree with the above statement but yes to some extend I do agree with it because evolution in technology and the rise of
people
interest in using them impacted on demand for printed
newspapers
and
books
. If we see back at ourselves we can see how technology is continuously changing with innovation and creative solutions. And to keep up with them
people
are
also
adopting them and have largely shown interest past 20 years. Let's have a look at
this
contrast by comparing today's life with
people
's life past 20 years ago. Today there are a lot of innovations like smartphones available in the market which public can easily buy and use them to install
news
applications on their devices
thus
allowing them to read
news
, get latest update about stock market, business world, games anytime
instead
of waiting for the newspaper to reach their houses and read it. With the portability of ,smartphones they can easily access
news
and even read
books
anytime and anywhere
for example
riding in the metro to the office. It has saved time and cost for the
people
. Shopping websites like Amazon, Flipcart allows users to purchase
books
or rent them to read at a lower cost. There are a lot of other ways available like tablets, laptops and AI assistants which
also
gives similar services to the
people
allowing them to rely less on printed
newspapers
and
books
. With the growth in ,technology I can say that demand for printed
newspapers
and
books
have been impacted but not largely to that extend that nobody will buy. There is that public who like to read
books
from physical copy
instead
of reading digitally. Digital newspaper gives specific
news
based on users interests but a physical newspaper allows the reader to read about anything by taking a glance at headers of any section that's why
people
still prefer to have paper. Especially students who prepare for competitive exams like UPSC
also
prefer to read from physical paper than digital ones. I believe demand for printed
newspapers
and
books
won't be affected to a larger extent as it depends on
people
choice of what they prefer.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
