Many university students live in a family but other live away from their home because of long distance between their home and university. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this issue ?

The global opportunities and reliable connectivity mediums have opened doors to education, out of town. While, some
students
study in their hometown, enjoying the comfort of living with their
families
, many are required to travel to different cities to continue their education. Both the scenarios entail positives and negatives which are reflected in the persona of an individual. These shall be discussed in the following paragraphs in detail.
To begin
with, living with the family is generally the
first
choice of
students
and residing with parents provides many benefits.
Firstly
, the
students
constantly have a companion and do not feel homesick. To explain
further
, there are several junctures in student lives when they require someone to talk and if they are residing with their parents, the likelihood of feeling lonely is negligible.
In addition
to
this
, staying in the hometown is always a less expensive option; To reinstate,
students
living in another city bear additional expenses
such
as accommodation and food.
However
, the
students
residing away from their
families
have a whole lot of other benefits which serves against those living with their
families
. The
students
living alone have a steeper learning curve as they tend to have fewer distractions and more focus.
For example
, the hostellers generally devote more time to academics and personality building as compared to the day scholars.
Moreover
,
this
cohort turns out to be responsible and independent than the other one; To impress upon the same, staying without family, hones many essential skills like financial planning at an early age which ensures the mental maturity of an individual at an early age. In conclusion, the advantages for
students
studying in their hometown might act as a disadvantage for those studying away from their
families
and vice-versa. But, the overall personality development and the perspective building are
also
divergent in both scenarios. While those residing individually might be more responsible, the batch staying with the family is more empathetic towards others.
Hence
, the arguments mentioned above highlight the optimism and pessimism involved in both conditions.
