Some people think that newspapers are the best way to learn news. However, others believe that they can learn news better through other media. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

There are varying opinions of the importance of different

sources. While some
people
hold a belief that reading

, I would argue that other media provide users

updating in the technological era. On the one hand, it is undeniable that the press has been an unreplaceable

of
information
, even on the

.
Firstly
,
newspapers
are the most traditional

media and not everyone wants or can use the

For example
, senior citizens or

Secondly
,
newspapers

when it comes to the proliferation of online

This
can be explained that since

is always edited and written by professional journalists, newsreaders can get a proper and reliable

of
information
in
newspapers
.
On the other hand
, I believe that the boom of technology helps
people
receive
information
in an easy way. Indeed, televisions and social networks are arguably up-to-date, convenient and user-friendly media that
people
can update
news
whenever they want. Those who have portable devices like a smartphone can easily access huge amounts of
news
in just a few clicks in the
internet
age. In fact, the latest events,
such
as COVID-19, will be updated immediately for
people
to take common measures.
In contrast
, with the manufacturing procedures, traditional
newspapers
take a great deal of time to write and edit
news
before launching to the public.
Moreover
, with technological advancements, online
news
channels have brought a greater reading experience to readers with vivid videos and interesting sounds that attract
people
to reading
news
online. In conclusion, I disagree with the view that
newspapers
will continue to be the main
source
of
news
since the
Internet
will soon be equally important.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
