In many countries, people do not recycle waste materials, such as bottles and newspapers. What are the reasons for this? What could be done to solve this problem?

Recycling waste material is an important practice that helps to maintain our environment. Many people in some countries,
however
, do not recycle their rubbish. They often just discard things that can actually be recycled,
such
as water bottles, cartons, glasses, and newspapers. The lack of recycling may happen due to various reasons. In some countries,
for example
, society’s knowledge and awareness of recycling are very little because
this
concept is relatively new. There is no official recycling program, and folks are used to seeing all the rubbish going to the same
bin
.
Moreover
, kinfolks may find it inconvenient because they do not have a separate trashcan at home or they can not find a public recycling
bin
outside. In order to raise people’s interest in recycling, an awareness campaign is required. Pieces of information on why
this
is important, what the effects of not recycling are, which materials can be recycled, and what are benefits it can bring to our environment must be provided.
This
campaign can be done in many ways
such
as making an advertisement on the media. Recycling should be easier to do.
For instance
, by locating recycling bins
next
to each general
bin
. Home recycling should
also
be facilitated,
for example
by arranging frequent trash collections and providing people free recycling
bin
bags. Overall, it is the lack of awareness about the benefits of recycling and the reluctance of people to sort the misuse that prevents them from engaging with
this
useful practice. Once society fully understands its advantages and can recycle their wastage easily, I believe their behaviours will start to change.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
