Some people think that children of busy parents should be sent to daycare centres, while others believe that they should be cared for by their grandparents. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Childcare is one of the most important responsibilities of
parents

However
, an increasing number of
parents
, for various reasons, are not able to do it themselves. People have different views about who should help these
parents
 to take
care
 of their
children
. Some busy
parents
 choose to rely on their old
parents
 for childcare, believing that their
children
 can receive more attention and
care
, compared with those sent to
daycare
 centres. With enough free time and only one or two
children
 to
care
 for, grandparents are able to make their grandchildren happy and keep them safe.
For example
, what can be cooked at home are far more varied than what is available in a
daycare
 centre, which can better satisfy
children
’s appetites.
In addition
,
children
 cared for by senior family members can be safe from common injuries,
such
 as getting burnt or finger cut.
However
, other
parents
 believe that there are more advantages to sending their
children
 to a kindergarten. The most obvious one is that young
children
 can develop faster socially in a
daycare
 centre than at home. They make friends and learn how to get on with other
children
 of a similar age.
Parents
also
 believe that
children
 who attend an early childhood programme have better skills because kindergartens employ fully trained and registered teachers who help young
children
 explore creativity, numeracy, literacy, science, and physical development through their play and learning opportunities. My view is that sending
children
 to a
daycare
 centre is a superior and wiser choice because of the cultivation of various abilities and skills.
Although
 grandparents can do better at taking
care
 of
children
 by paying far more attention, the
children
 may be spoilt and socially inactive, which is detrimental to their development.
