Overpopulation is the world’s most serious environmental problem. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Nowadays, humans have been facing a wide range of natural disasters like long-term drought, terrible storms and floods, and forest fires…A statement shows that
overpopulation
is the most critical environmental problem on earth. Personally, I totally agree with this
. In this
essay, I will give some of my points of view about the negative impacts of overpopulation
on green issues.
First
, the growth of the population makes people need more land for accommodation and other facilities. This
causes a wide area of woodland cut down for people’s living space. It is apparent that deforestation can induce plenty of serious disasters such
as floods and landside. Besides
, the destruction of forests can decrease in absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. As a result
, this
redundant amount of carbon dioxide causes global warming and climate change.
One more negative side of overpopulation
is the increase in manufacturing to serve the needs of life. This
leads to a significant increase in the consumption of natural resources, especially fossil fuel sources. Consequently
, a lot of dangerous greenhouse gases through this
process are emitted more and more into the atmosphere which can destroy the Earth’s ozone layer to harm people’s health.
Furthermore
, our planet can face serious pollution
due to overpopulation
. First
, air pollution
results from the rise in using various transport. Second
, water pollution
from huge household waste can not clean up correspondingly. In addition
, the growing need for agricultural products makes farmers use fertilizers to improve yield which can result in soil pollution
.
In conclusion, the negative points of overpopulation
that we make in this
essay are extremely serious. It can be said that the crowded population is the most serious environmental problem on the earth.Submitted by mailien.cv on
