Some people think that the best way to run a business is within the family. What are the advantages and disadvantages of a family run business?

Some people believe that a family-run
business
is the best way to run a
business
. While
this
method has some advantages, there are
also
some disadvantages. On the one hand, in a
business
run by a family, workers can
work
more effectively.
This
is because ,within a family, each member knows about other persons' characters well compared to a relationship between bosses and their employees in a normal
business
.
For instance
, if one member of a family is good at manipulating a computer, it is a better idea to assign tasks that require high-level computer skills to them
such
as video editing or making posters advertising their products.
Moreover
, a family can perform more flexibly.
In other words
, when there is a plan to travel abroad, family members do not need to reschedule an itinerary because of their
work
.
Thus
, a family run
business
helps a family in many ways.
On the other hand
, there are
also
disadvantages to running a
business
within a family.
First
of all, a good relationship within a family may be destroyed due to trouble during they are working. A family shares not only the time when they
work
but
also
the time in the house.
Therefore
, if some family members continue to discuss job-related stories after
work
hours, others will feel stressed easily.
Similarly
, the opposite
also
seems to be serious.
For instance
, when there is a fight between family members,
this
may affect their job performance, and reduce job efficiency. To conclude, even though there are advantages of running a
work
within a family, that kind of
business
also
includes some disadvantages.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
