Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

While some people assert that the extinction of particular
species
of
plants
and animals is the biggest environmental problem that we are facing in today’s age of life, others trust that there are still other essential
problems
. I agree with the former viewpoints because some
plants
and animal
species
play a key role in keeping the
ecosystem
in balance. On the one hand, climate change is threatening our lives through natural disasters
such
as rising global temperature, wildfires, and storms that are becoming more frequent and dangerous. They tear down our homes and infrastructure and even take many lives. To illustrate, there are 5 thousand people who died around the world due to natural disasters.
Although
these
problems
are serious
problems
, we can solve them by protecting the deforestation, planting trees, and using less natural energy like fossil fuel, etc.
On the other hand
, the loss of
plants
and animals is a big challenge since it will break food change and cause
problems
.
For example
, some fish
species
have become extinct due to overfishing and it can harmful to the balance of the aquatic
ecosystem
.
Moreover
, It will lead to an uncontrollable condition for the less living resources since we depend on a well-balanced
ecosystem
of natural resources
such
as clean air, fresh

water, and healthy crops. To be concluded, it can be seen that climate change has started impacting our lives already, I think protecting
plants
and animal
species
is more critical because their extinction affects the balance of our
ecosystem
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
