Hope all is well.
I am writing

letter to express my apology that I was unable to attend our meeting related to the implementation of our internal policy yesterday. I know the importance of that meeting in our internal department.
Please be informed that I am ready for my presentation for the said discussion, however
, there is an emergency happening on that day, and I need to travel going back to my home town. This
is a family issue, and very personal that I need to settle right away.
I will be back on Monday morning. Please do let me know if you are available that day for the meeting. Once again, I would like to ask for your kind understanding in this
matter, and I will take the necessary steps to avoid such
a situation in the future.
