Advances in science and technology and other areas of society in the last 100 years have transformed the way we live as well as postponing the day we die. There is no better lime to be alive than now. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

The advancement in
science
and
technology
in the
last
few years has been massive. It is said that we are living in a golden era where
science
has helped
mankind
in every field and made human
life
easier than ever. A rapid increase in the development of medicine has been made.
Today
medicine can heal diseases like cancer, COVID, influenza etc making it more powerful than ever. Another advancement in
technology
has
also
helped
mankind
as they live their
life
.It is
also
said that there is no better time to be alive than now. But one cannot completely agree with
this
point. It is said that, In the past,
people
were able to build a society far more progressive than
today
. It is said that
science
was more evolved in the past. A lot of
technology
used by
people
in the past was way better than
today
. As
the
Correct article usage
apply
show examples
technology
evolved
people
got disconnected from each other resulting in some serious
problems
like depression, anxiety etc.
Although
science
and
technology
helped humans in many ways they
also
created many
problems
as pollution started growing more and more.
Today
mankind
's biggest problem is air pollution. With the rapid increase in buildings ,factories etc the quality of air is now lower than ever.
Although
the development of
science
and
technology
is increasing the
problems
related to it are rising as well and one can say that
today
's medicine might help
mankind
live a longer
life
by delaying death but the
problems
are created by
technology
itself .
Today
the average human
life
index is 70 years compared to the past
people
tend to live longer than their
life
index was around 90 years. So, in my opinion, it is a good era to live in but certainly not the best because
people
were happier in past compared to
today
.
