Due to the development and rapid expansion of supermakets in some countries, many small and local business are unable to compete. Some people think that the closure of local business will bring about the death of local communities. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

contemporary epoch , it has to be said that local traders are struggling with their business due to the significant expansion of the supermarkets
, and the majority of people
assume that this
trend may be eradicated by the local business and communities. I do agree with this
notion as local trading is the heart of the local community. By this
I mean, local factories and farmers may be threatened to close their production.
Firstly
, it is an undeniable fact that internal commerce is less competitive than department stores
. Today people
prefer to purchase everything from supermarkets
rather than the local stores
because of the quality and aesthetic face of the products. Moreover
, it becomes a part of social status.To cite an example , a survey was conducted by Harvard Business School about why people
prefer department stores
to local shops. As a result
, about 80 per cent of people
who participated in this
survey said that they could get everything from supermarkets
when compare with local shops,however
, local products are cheaper and fresher than supermarkets
.This
may lead to urbanisation in the countryside.
Secondly
, the local farmers and factories will bankrupt due to the urbanisation in cities.Most of them may lose their jobs and this
may lead to poverty in the village side.In addition
, due to this
,bankruptcy local people
will not get daily wages for basic amenities such
as food, water, shelter,and education.Finally
, this
will lead to the country's economic strength.If local people
try to sell their products to supermarkets
,probably they do not get profit as per their hard work.
In conclusion, it is stated that expansion of the supermarkets
or department stores
