Some people believe that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did their training. Others believe they should be free to work in another country if they wish. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion
Opinions are divided on whether there should be a requirement that
people
with professional occupations have to work
in the nation where they were trained or whether they can actively choose where to work
. Both arguments have their own reasons and from my perspective, I believe that people
should be free to choose the workplace.
Admittedly, there are several reasons to require one person to work
in the country
where they study in terms of responsibility and the development of that country
. Regarding the former, there are many people
who receive scholarships from governments to follow their higher education, so they have to take the responsibility written in the contracts. For example
, many Vietnamese students
have to work
for the Singaporean government after receiving a scholarship to study at its best universities such
as NTU or NUS. As for the latter, keeping professionals is very important for the development of a country
, especially less developed countries
like Vietnam, because these highly skilled workers can perform the hardest tasks as well as follow state-of-the-art technology.
However
, I believe that everyone should be free to choose their workplace due to the high tuition fee and their priority. It is undeniable that following higher education in those fields, such
as doctor or engineering, consumes students
and their families much money and time and students
have to put in enormous effort into successfully completing these degrees. Therefore
, they have the right to work
in countries
where they are paid reasonably. For example
, medical graduate students
in Vietnam can only have low salaries while in other developed countries
, doctors are paid significantly higher salaries. With regard to the latter, there are many students
who want to go abroad for studying and then
come back to their home country
and contribute to their abilities. This
tendency definitely helps developing countries
, such
as Vietnam, narrow down the gap with other countries
.
In conclusion, although
there are some cases in that people
with professionals have to work
in the country
where they are trained, I believe that everyone should be free to work
anywhere they wish based on reasonable income and their priorities.Submitted by checkwiring9 on
