Some people think that books are losing importance as a source of information and entertainment. To what extent do you agree?

✨ Do you want to improve your IELTS writing?
Before
technology
came in, the public depended on
books
for finding out knowledge. With the advancement of
technology
, society rarely uses
books
and switches to utilising
technology
to get information accurately and fast. I totally agree that
books
will lose their importance as a source because it has brought us an easier way to get a wide range of material
For instance
, the existence of
Google
has helped society easily find the details that they need.
Furthermore
, the implementation of using
Google
is effortless, free, and can be done by many people of any age. If they want to study Math or Physics, they can type some keywords on the search bar
then
it will show up with a lot of useful material websites that they can freely delve into.
Moreover
, they can search for tutorial videos on YouTube, one of the famous ones is Khan Academy which is free of cost. These are more useful and accessible than
books
that require a lot of money. Reading
books
also
can be boring since it is full of text. Sometimes, it is frustrating to read a book because the book uses complicated words which is hard to understand. When we find words that we do not understand, we
also
have to find out the meaning by using a dictionary and it takes a lot of time because we have to flip the pages back and forth. With
Google
, we can save time because
Google
can give us data directly and match our expectation In conclusion, the demand for
books
will decrease and it will be replaced by the advanced
technology
that makes our work much easier, more comfortable, and money-saving.
