Some people think that schools should select pupils according to their academic abilities, while others believe that it is better to have pupils with different abilities study together. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Schools are known as temples of knowledge, contributing towards the
overall
growth of children. There are individuals in our society who believe that students
should be chosen based on their academic skills, however
, there is another set of people who have a contradictory point of view on this
and they believe that it is not appropriate to differentiate students
based on their academic knowledge, rather should be given the opportunity to study together. I am of the same mind as the latter set of people and present some logical reasons in favour of my opinion.
On the one hand, when students
with different potentials are put together in a group, they can learn from each other and can assist one another in achieving better results. A pupil with better capability can surely help a weaker student in solving his/her educational problems. To illustrate, I would share my school structure where students
of different capabilities were studying in the same classroom and always keen to learn from each other. Besides
, this
form of classes helps offer a platform where pupils develop a sense of responsibility, unity and patience by teaching and learning from each other beginning from an early age in their life.
On the contrary
, if disciples are classified as per their capacity, lectures or classes can be altered as per their capability instead
of going as per the standard process and additional subjects can be added to their curriculum. To exemplify, there are several occasions where better students
are given chances to take up new challenges like inter-school competitions and so forth. Additionally
, They can be assigned difficult tasks or their classes can be fastened as per their learning pace.
In nutshell, such
kind of classification does not promote a healthy environment for the growth of children as mere academic skills are not required to succeed in life. Implementing a structure where students
are learning together and helping one all is better for their grooming.Submitted by kaurmamta3 on
