Our personalities are predetermined as a result of our genes before we are born and there is nothing that can be done to alter our character trait to what extent do you agree

Our attitudes are largely hereditary, from both
parents
. As
such
, people believe that it is impossible to change the way we behave. Genetics is the study of how genetic materials like variation, diseases, structure, colour, intelligence and habits are passed from
parents
to offspring. Without a doubt, of ,course it is true. Because every individual is a product of elements inherited from both
parents
.
This
essay will discuss the extent to which the statement is valid, and a precise conclusion shall be drawn .
To begin
with, I strongly believe that we are indeed the product of procreation. Every child is special and unique. We acquired specific traits from our biological
parents
and exhibit
such
character as we grow. I have not yet read any article or book which stated clearly that science possesses a method that could alter our inherited makeup. The colour of our hair, skin, eyeballs and height are all products of in-born genes.
For instance
, if both
parents
are tall and dark in complexion, the resultant offspring would definitely be black-coloured and tall. Our mathematics teacher once told us that he is so brilliant because his mother and father were very intelligent.
In addition
, variation is the differences that exist amongst people or individuals of the same species. The ability to move one part of your body like, your ears, tongue rolling, and joint dislocation is possible in some families. My youngest brother can move his ears without shaking his head
whereas
two of my siblings could actually dislocate their shoulder on purpose and return it back. I came from a family of seven and only three possess discontinuous morphological variation. They took after our mother.
Furthermore
, the choir leader from our church, testified that her father used to be part of their community troupe
while
he was still a spinster.
However
, he later joined the choir because of the sweet voice he had. So it is no doubt that her sweet voice is a trait gotten from her dad.
Also
, one of our village chiefs, a business tycoon happens to be a dwarf after his mom. And again, my neighbour has five kids and two of the children inherited the sickle cell traits. Their father is a known sickler and the mother is a carrier of the sickle unit gene. He confessed that sickle cell runs in their generational gene.
To conclude
, the way we talk, Walk, speak and behave
as well as
the ability to do some body moves which is unique is largely determined by heredity.
Also
, a good number of sicknesses and illnesses like sickle cell anaemia, hypertension, and diabetes are passed from one generation to another through genes.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
