A magazine wants to include contributions from its readers for an article called ‘The book that influenced me most'. Write a letter to the editor of the magazine about the book that influenced you most. In your letter describe what this book was about, explain how this book influenced you, and say whether this book would be likely to influence other people.

Dear Mr Robert, I am writing
this
letter to explain the magazine that influenced me a lot. The name of the book is "
Life
is Blessed". I read
this
publication so many times.
This
book is about the
life
of a person who used to work hard and in the end get success in his
life
.
Moreover
, the edition taught me that hard work always pays off. If a person has the guts to face any hurdles in
life
he or she never fails in their
life
. As I read
this
quite a few times it always motivates me to face any difficulties in my
life
and boosts my confidence to best. I think
this
magazine would have a great impact on other people too who wish to read that magazine. Yours Sincerely, Ravi.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
