Many manufactured food and drink products contain high level of sugars which causes many health problems. Sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar. Do you agree or disagree?

Owing to the problem which growing sugary food and beverage products cause various
health
issues, some
people
think that the key to solving these issues is to increase the product's price in the market. In my opinion,
while
I agree that consuming
such
products can have detrimental
effects
on
people
's
health
and that individuals should have control over their
consumption
, I disagree that the pricing strategy is the best way to tackle the problem of deteriorating public
health
in relation to dietary choices. With regard to
health
problems, the impact of uncontrolled sugary product
consumption
has had on each individual person has clear detrimental
effects
.
Firstly
, it is evident that the habit of eating
sugar
can lead to overweight and obesity problems in some
people
. Individuals might experience a rise in blood
sugar
and blood pressure which are linked to an increased risk for heart attack and stroke.
Thus
, with various diseases that might happen, it is essential for
people
to consume less
sugar
and cultivate self-discipline when it comes to their dietary
consumption
. Regarding the solution to prevent
people
consume
sugar
, raising the price of sweet brands is not an effective approach to dissuade society from purchasing them. Rather than the market taking part to control
consumption
, the most effective solution lies in community education and
health
promotion campaigns that highlight the dangers associated with uncontrolled
consumption
of sugary foods and beverages.
Therefore
, the government should focus on educating students and disseminating
this
vital information through various channels, including television, social media, and other platforms.
Such
efforts can foster increased self-awareness among individuals regarding the adverse
effects
of
sugar
on their
health
. In conclusion, even though I fully agree about the harmful
effects
of consuming exceeds
sugar
products, I believe that increasing
sugar
prices alone is an inadequate solution to curbing societal
consumption
. Governments should prioritize educating the public about the undesirable consequences of excessive
sugar
consumption
and emphasize the need for personal responsibility in making healthier dietary choices.
