The maps below describe an area before and after the construction of a hydroelectric power plant.
The given maps illustrate how a region changed before and after a hydroelectric power plant was built.
Overall
,
while
some parts remained unchanged including the village and the forest, a dam and a hotel were added to the map.
In addition
, some sections disappeared
such
as the national park and the farmland. As can be seen, before any changes, a river was in the centre of the zone from north to south on which there was a bridge connecting west to east. On the west, there was a forest in the north with a national park to its south. Plus, a historic castle was located in the bottom left corner of the map. On the right side of the area, mountains were seen at the top below which the farmland was linked to the river through a narrow branch. The village was exactly opposite the castle. After the developments, a hydroelectric dam was made on the river which creates a lake suitable for fishing and boat trips behind itself.
However
, the bridge is not destroyed and is still on it. The national park and historic castle were replaced with power plants and transmission towers, respectively.
Furthermore
, a hotel was constructed where it used to be farmland. It is
also
noteworthy to mention that the forest, mountains and village remained in their previous places.
