The given maps represent Grange Park in 1920 and the same park today. Overall, many facilities were constructed, except entrance place everything had changed gradually.
The following maps illustrate changes in Grange Park between the year 1920 and at present.
Looking from an
overall
perspective, it is readily apparent that the park has a more open layout and new facilities constructed such
as Amphitheatre, Rose Terrace, and Water feature, although
there is a greater emphasis on Children's play area.
In 1920, the most noticeable differences were Fountain and Stage for Musicians which are no longer there today, and it was replaced by two newly built called Amphitheatre for concerts as well as
a Rose Garden with surrounding several Seats which are evacuated to this
location. Next,
to the upper right side, there was a pond for water plants which is exchanged by the Kids' playground, and Glasshouse was just next to the Entrance which now transformed into a Water feature.
In terms of the Rose field which was on the left side of the Park, still remained unchanged, and on the opposite side, there was another Rose back yard, which moved away from this
area, and the newly constructed Cafe represented it. Lastly
, the main two entrances are still in the same position as in the early twentieth century.Submitted by Zolboo on
