✨ Do you want to improve your IELTS writing?
Dear Sam, First of all congratulations on getting into your dream
college
. I am delighted that you are going to join the same
college
from where I graduated. I understand that you are looking for accommodation, I will try my best to help you out. During my
college
days, I used to stay in the
college
's hostel in a shared
room
with a batchmate. The hostel rooms are quite clean, spacious and equipped with all the basic amenities that any student can ask for. It is only a 5-minute walk from the
college
and
due to
this
, I was never late for my classes. Since my experience of hostel life was great, I would
also
recommend you the same. You can reach out to the
college
's admission office and they will provide you with all necessary details. The process is pretty simple.
However
, there are a few things which you should take care of before finalizing the
room
. There are multiple options available for
room
sharing. I would recommend you to only ask for two-person
room
sharing, as it won't be very crowded and you will
also
have someone to hang out with. You can
also
request accommodation with a friend if you have anyone joining with you. I hope I am able to help you out with your query. Please call me if you have any more questions. Wish you the best of luck for the new journey ahead! Best Wishes, Bella

Use cohesive linking words accurately and appropriately

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

Linking word examples:

  • firstly
  • secondly
  • thirdly
  • in additional
  • moreover
  • also
  • for example
  • for instance
  • therefore
  • however
  • although
  • even though
  • despite
