The use of social media, e.g. Facebook and Twitter, is replacing face-to-face contact for many people in everyday life. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
The debate over whether the replacement of face-to-face contact with social
media
for many people
is beneficial or not has long been a subject of discussion. Every individual has their own perspective on this
issue. But in my opinion, the use of social media
took the public towards destruction level.
To begin
with, people
stopped meeting people
face-to-face. They usually spend time on social media
and are connected with people
who are unknown to them or only connected with their family members through social media
. These habits are destroying the social skills
of a new generation
. Young people
lack social skills
, interpersonal skills
, teamwork skills
and many other skills
. For instance
, today's generation
is
usually Verb problem
apply
get failed
in professional fields because ,in organisations, social Wrong verb form
fails
skills
are much needed which young employees lack because they spend their time on mobile using social media
.
Furthermore
, social media
also
have some benefits to the society. People
are nowadays well aware of what is happening in the world. For example
, today's generation
has much information about politics, the entertainment industry, current affairs and many more because of the use of social media
due to
which a politician or any other person can not betray them. The new generation
is also
aware of the trends of today's world.
In conclusion, everything has advantages as well as
disadvantages. Social media
has some terrible disadvantages which may outweigh the advantages. But if people
have control over themselves then
this
development can become a positive development. If people
start using it as needed and do not become addicted to it then
they can utilize its benefits and can overcome the disadvantages.Submitted by khannaughty26 on
