You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect. Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter. -Correct the information in the article -Explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information -Suggest what the magazine should do about this situation
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing
this
letter with regard to a mistake made by the international travel magazine
about my hometown.
Pabna is one of the historical places in Bangladesh. As it is my hometown and born and grew up here I know about this
place very well. However
, recently your international travel magazine
made a serious mistake about the independence day of Pabna. As per historical books, the date would be 10th December 1971 but the magazine
says 25 December 1971.
As it is a popular magazine
in Bangladesh, if a lot of people get this
information they would be misguided. Furthermore
, more often researchers and general people take a reference from popular and reliable news portals.
Although
, the mistake has already been made to fix this
issue, I think, the best way is to publish another article with the correct date and apologise. In this
way, the readers of this
magazine
will be aware of it.
Kind Regards,
