Write a letter to the government about the lack of sports facilities in your hometown for people of your age. In your letter, you should say: What facilities you want Why you want them What suggestions you can give
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Jasmina Shavkheva. Hope
this
letter finds you radiant health and the best spirits. The reason I am writing to you is that there are no sports facilities in my city. There is no stadium in our city. Children play football on the roads. That is
why, we need a stadium. Girls need fitness. Because they are fat. Without them, our boys cannot become champions. For
this
reason, it should be built. There is an old building in our city. The building must be demolished. A stadium and a fitness centre should be built instead
. I hope you understand me. I await your reply. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours faithfully,
Jasmina Shavkheva.Submitted by asqar4997 on

The Greeting
Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.
Always start an informal letter in the ways:
- Dear + name
- Hi / Hello + name
‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.
For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:
- Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
- Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
