Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you about a short fascinating cookery
course
in your school. During my
course
in the school's kitchen, I felt like in my house
due to
our teacher's behaviours and positivity. They give a lot of incredible information about new approaches to new cooking techniques. Before the
course
, I did not have any experience in cooking,
for example
, I could not make any special foods
such
as pasta, rice etc.
In addition
,
at the end
of the
course
, I must state that I can even make whatever I want, especially different traditional soups which I am proud of myself.
Also
, I suggest you take
this
course
in my hometown, it will be full and must be enjoyable for most of them.
Furthermore
, I appreciate all of your school's organisation preparing
such
a perfect
course
. I'd love to stay in touch. I am waiting for your new
course
to attend as soon possible.
While
I await your positive feedback, I would be grateful if you could reply to my email as soon as possible. I will be waiting to hear from you. If you have any questions or thoughts, please do not hesitate to contact me. Take care of yourself. Kind regards, Salih Zeki Köni

task achievement
You have used a suitable tone for semi-formal letter writing, but you could improve by consistent use of polite expressions and avoiding overly casual language.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
