The maps above depict the floor plan of a public
library
20 years ago and the way it looks in the present. The
library
has changed the arrangement of book racks and rooms' functions in the 20-year period. Most noticeably, there are major replacements for the main building's pieces of furniture.
Moreover
, several developments of the
library
territory were constructed, including an extension, shape transformation, and door placement. The former two sets of tables and chairs that were located in the centre of the
library
were removed. As a replacement, a newly made information desk and self-service machines were put on the east side of the
library
. In the southwest, the reading
room
was changed into a space full of computers,
while
the southeast area transformed an enquiry desk into a café which was shaped equalized to the other rooms. Moving to the north, the place for children's books is now a lecture
room
.
Furthermore
, the northwest
room
was the one with the biggest differences compared to the others. A minor extension was constructed along the converted function of a PC
room
which turned into a cosy space made for children.
