Parents should spend more time with their children helping them with their homework. Do you agree or disagree?

People argue that
children
should be supported in doing home-exercising by their
parents
. I disagree with
this
statement because of the inequivalence of qualifications between
parents
and
kids
and the negative impacts caused by learning with
parents
. Some
parents
do not have the equivalent knowledge to teach their
children
. Some
parents
who only finished secondary school at a low level of general education may get embarrassed in front of their
children
when they are doing difficult exercises.
Therefore
, they might feel negative because they are even not as good as a young student.
For example
, English at the current time is far more complicated compared to English in the past. Those
parents
born in the 1990s can not teach their
children
how to get high scores in speaking and writing English. So normally they will let teachers who specialise in language help them.
Children
may get negative impacts from their
parents
while
doing their exercises at home.
Firstly
, some
children
are slower learners, they are not able to understand after one or two times of explanations from
parents
.
Then
,
parents
become impatient and start thinking their
kids
are stupid and compare them with other
kids
who can learn fast.
This
may lead to mental health problems for the
kids
. Being underestimated after a long time period,
as a result
,
children
will reduce confidence in themselves and feel stressed. In consequence, they limit themselves to interacting with the outside world. In conclusion, there are many ways for
parents
to express love to their
children
, but
parents
should not spend time teaching them to learn. Because
parents
are not educated at the same level as
children
and
also
to avoid the bad mental impact on their
children
.
