of burglaries was just below 3500, the next year it increased to around 3700 incidents. For the next four years

of incidents fluctuated at around 1400.
Nearly 2750 cases of car
theft
were reported in 2003. For the next three years, the number
ranged between 2600 and 2700 before experiencing a decline in 2006 at about 2100 incidents. Reports on car
theft
by Newport citizens were in fluctuation until the end of the period and ended at slightly below 2400. The act of robbery was the lowest criminality compared to the other two throughout the decade. The number
ranged from 500 to 900.
In conclusion, at the beginning of the period, the number
of burglaries was the highest, yet car
theft
overtook the position as the number
one criminality committed by the
citizens in 2012. Robbery remained unchanged as the third criminality done by the citizens throughout the decade.Correct article usage
