The map below shows part of the town of Huntingdon, one as it is now and one showing proposed. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps illustrate the current layout of Huntingdon and the proposed future developments in the area.
Looking from an
overall
perspective, the town
will undergo a number of significant changes, chief of which are the introduction of an industrial estate, modifications to the road
network, and the development of a roundabout.
In the present map, the airfield is located in the northern part of Huntingdon, with the A1 street running along the west side. The road
called A14 runs east to west at the southern end, and Brampton Road
provides access to the railway station, situated near the western edge of the map. The built-up area of homes and shops is adjacent to the town
centre, which is surrounded by Ring Road
.
In the proposed future plan, the airfield will be replaced by a new industrial estate to the northeast of the town
. Additionally
, a roundabout will be constructed, connecting the A1 path to the industrial zone and other parts of Huntingdon. Meanwhile, the railway station and built-up area remain largely unchanged in the future map. However
, the road
network will be expanded, providing better access to the town
centre.Submitted by khanhhan13067 on
